TIP FOR BEGINNERS USING WATERCOLOURS!

CONVINCING CLOUDS -
To paint convincing clouds

that also show perspective in portraying distance, just paint a wash of blue sky using lots of water. Then take a screwed up piece of tissue and blot out the clouds immediately whilst the paint is very wet. See that you gradually decrease their size as you get towards the horizon. If shadows are needed on the clouds these can be put in later on.
